Ibis Medical Equipment & Systems Pvt. Ltd. is an Indian organization established in the year 2008 and has since been engaged in manufacturing of high quality neonatology focused equipment. Our strategy at Ibis medical is to provide unique and innovative NICU products, developed through continues research. Furthermore, our well experienced bio medical engineers manufacture standard world class machines with their constantly upgraded skills. Over the years, Ibis Medical has installations spread across India, both in the private and government sectors. Ibis Medical has started catering to the export market, with installations now in countries in Africa and South Asia.
Ibis launched LED based Phototherapy, with the brand name IREX. We were among the first in India to launch a LED based phototherapy unit, in an industry where CFL based phototherapy was the norm.
Our R&D efforts yielded many advanced products such as IREX Blanket, which is a portable and maintenance free system only manufactured by us, among several other NICU equipment. Our products are well accepted in the neonatal segment and we keep on innovating to meet the new demands and our upgraded versions. Our wide range of our Neonatal care products are categorized under the divisions of Neonatal Jaundice, Infant Thermal management, Neonatal Respiratory management and NICU vitals.
Our total administrative system is certified ISO 9004-2008 (2012) with CE certified machines and its facilities meet ISO 13485 manufacturing standards. We do not compromise on product quality, which is one big reason, why our customers always come back to us for their next set of requirements.
History
Founded in 2008 by Sujith S. in Cochin, India, Ibis Medical Equipment & Systems Pvt. Ltd. began by establishing a strong market presence in Kerala. We then expanded to Southern India and now have a presence across almost all states in India.
Ibis started its business journey by launching phototherapy and radiant warmer equipment to the world of neonatology after being incubated at NIT-Calicut.
We introduced India’s first high-bright LED phototherapy unit (IREX) and the new version of the Infant Radiant Warmer (I CORE 10). Over the years, we have launched several innovative products that set industry standards in India.
Ibis Medical has also started exporting our products to several countries, primarily in South Asia and Africa. Our commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction drives us to continuously meet the evolving needs of neonatal care worldwide.
Our Journey & Milestones
At Ibis Medical, our journey began in 2008 with a vision to revolutionize neonatal care. Through continuous innovation and commitment to quality, we’ve achieved several key milestones that highlight our growth and success.
2008:
- Launched phototherapy and radiant warmer devices after being incubated at NIT-Calicut.
2009-10:
- Introduced India’s first high-bright LED phototherapy unit (IREX) and the new Infant Radiant Warmer (I CORE 10).
2010-11:
- Expanded with Basic LED phototherapy (IREX 10) and V2 IREX.
- Developed India’s first Blanket phototherapy prototype (IREX Blanket).
2011-12:
- Appointed dealers outside Kerala.
- Secured a significant government order from PGI for 20 IREX units.
2012-13:
- Installed equipment in key hospitals like KIMS Trivandrum and AIMS Cochin.
- Launched NICU VITALS.
2013-14:
- Launched an online store and began exporting to Nigeria.
2014-15:
- Enhanced Infant Radiant Warmers with a more powerful microprocessor.
- Started developing the world’s first Blue Green LED and a Basic Warmer for low-cost NICUs.
2022-23:
- Launched the Servo Controlled Infant Incubator range.
2023-24:
- Launched the I CORE 300 Infant Radiant Warmer and a new version of the Eye Protector.
We are still innovating and expanding to ensure every newborn receives the best possible care.
Meet Our Team
Sujith S is the founder and Managing Director of Ibis Medical Equipment and Systems Pvt. Ltd. He set the company up in 2008 with his own hard work and the support from some of his friends.
A people person who thrives on getting the job done. Sujith Manages the day to day running of Ibis Medical as well as leading the company’s product development and technology strategy, His willingness to rolling up his sleeves and working hands on make sure the customer satisfaction and prompt delivery . His 10 year experience in the medical field helps to design and market the unique equipment like premium LED Phototherapy which sold more 200 Machines in two year period.

Anitha Sathyan is the Chairperson of Ibis medical since its inception. Her focused approach, strong communication and administrative skills to lead the team members is greatly appreciable.
Mrs. Anitha Sathyan who is primarily responsible for the administrative matters. She also takes keen interest in employee management relationship, which makes this dynamic lady who also can be termed as the architect of Ibis Medical , the most respected and loved one, by all in the Company.
Mrs.Anitha Sathyan is a graduate from Kerala University and well equipped with all the administrative skills, as required for successful operation of business at this level.

Santosh Menon handles the sales & business development functions at Ibis Medical. Santosh has 17 year experience in various fields primarily in FMCG, Telecom & Finance. Among the various companies he has worked include Hindustan Lever, BPL Mobile, ICICI Bank, Reliance Capital and Srei BNP Paribas. His last two stints at Reliance Capital and Srei BNP Paribas was providing financial solutions for healthcare providers which includes large and small hospitals across Western India.
The primary role over here is to lay groundwork of sales cum service dealers across the country who can represent Ibis Medical. Development, training & increasing the scope & viability of the dealers are the other key aspects he will be taking care of. Introducing Ibis Medical among the various healthcare providers in India and abroad, both private and Govt organizations is his other key task. Santosh is based out of Pune and operates from there.
